DIY: Tile Coaster

While I was wondering the aisles at the local hardware store. I ran across some mosaic tiles. I thought to myself that these tiles would make wonderful coasters.  So I bought them and brought them home.  The first thing I did was to cut the 12" x 12" square sown to 4" x 4" squares.  Then on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. I grouted the tile with pre-mixed grout.  Once it dried, approximate 2 days, I used enamel to paint the grout and added a stencil of a flower. After the enamel dried, ~1 hour, I placed them in a cooled oven. Set the oven for 350 degrees. Once the oven is heated to temperature, I baked the Coasters for 30 min. Let the tiles cool in oven.  After all that I applied a clear coat of enamel over the whole coaster then repeated the oven process once again.  Finally I added cork to the back of the coaster.
