Custom jobs that are NOT always good for Upcycling

Custom jobs that are NOT always good for Upcycling

I LOVE creating no matter what it is. Getting my hands dirty with glue or paint is a love that most people don't understand. So when I have a friend asking me to make the favors for a retreat she was putting together, I jumped at the chance.

These type of custom jobs, where you have to make many of the same thing are not always on the UP & UP with recycling and re-purposing. Unless you have been planning it for a long time, you are able to find just the right items for a favor to which you can upcycle them or are just a hoarder. Unfortunately, I was none of these things for this project.

Lets say you are like me and don't have that type of time nor inspiration. How can you still be earth conscious with making your favors?

Tip: Use the scraps that are on hand

The number one tip that came to my mind was to use the scraps that you have on hand.  Many times I have leftover paper, fabric, or paint from a previous project that are too small to use and too large to just throw out. I keep these scraps in a bin in the hopes that I will be able to use them in another project.
