How to Make City Blocks?

How to Make City Blocks?

I was given some OLD wooden blocks from my church. They no longer where using them. The blocks where colorful and a little banged up, however, I wanted to give them NEW LIFE by making them look like LITTLE BUILDINGS. They are going to look so cute as little buildings. First I spray painted them with gold, silver, and grey spray paint, but that that didn't totally work out. So then I took some craft paint and finished painting them by hand.

The gold, silver and white ones looked perfect with no windows on them. Some buildings DO look like solid sheets of glass. I also didn't put windows on the ODDLY shaped blocks because it was hard to decide where the windows would go. I also didn't want to repaint them. I guess it was just too big of a risk, I was short on time and a LITTLE lazy.

After trying several methods for drawing, sketching, tracing the windows on I found out the best way to paint windows on the blocks was with a paint marker. It was the simplest and easiest way to paint on the windows.

I finally got to do a clear coat on the blocks. This project did take longer than I suspected it would. But is a great one to do in front of the TV.
