3 amazing upcycle favors
After writing Custom Jobs that are NOT Always Good for Upcycling, I started to think about favors that were good for upcycling/repurposing. I found these three Do It Yourselfers on Pinterest.
#1 Candle in a Teacup
Teacups are always easy to find at thrift stores, I am assuming that is because people always like to have a set. I am not sure about you but I have such bad luck with teacups; I am always breaking mine. It would be a great way to personalize the favors also, by picking out a teacup that reminds you of your friend. On a different note, Hey Gorgeous does a great job explaining how to make these great teacup candles into upcycling favors.
#2 Create a Cozy Cardigan Cowl and Boot Socks From an Old Sweater
Finding an old sweater is always easy, especially one you don't like. I never seem to be able to find one that I do like. Beth Huntington did fabulously explaining how to Create a Cozy Cowl and Boot Socks From an Old Sweater.
#3 Make a Teacup into a Planter
Did I say that there are lots of teacups at thrift shops? Not only do tea cups makes good containers for candles but they also make good planters. Kenzie Mastroe has done a great tutorial on how you can make teacups into herb gardens or a micro garden. Now, only give a plant to a plant lover or it will only end up dead.
Please let me know in the comments section what thrift shop finds you have repurposed into a cool new gift.
